All about Lower Mill's Early Childhood Program
At PJP, we use the OWL (Opening the World of Learning) curriculum. It is a wonderful program, with a literacy, math, science, and social studies component. We also use the Building Blocks Math program. This is a hands on Math program that allows students to see and touch what they are learning. We also have a great Religion and Handwriting Programs.
Our Early Childhood Program is also lucky enough to have a wonderful partnership with the Lynch Foundation. The foundation recognizes that a quality education starts in a quality Early Childhood classroom. As a result of our partnership with the Lynch Early Childhood program, our classrooms are filled with top of the line furniture and teaching supplies, as well as age appropriate toys.
In addition, the teachers are also benefitting in other ways! We are lucky enough to have quality Professional Development each and every month! Our monthly meetings are attended by about 50-60 teachers from all around the Boston area. These meetings allow us to share with other teachers our best practices and new ideas. We are also fortunate enough to take courses specific to our grade levels from fantastic professors from area colleges.
